DIY: How to stretch shoes that are too tight
We’ve all been there: Standing in front of our closets, a sexy akpola/boot pulled halfway on, only to discover that it’s in urgent need of workout. And by workout, i mean it needs to some stretching. While learning how to stretch shoes isn’t that complicated, it’s also not as easy as wiggling around the material and hoping it will work itself out. These are some tried-and-true methods which promise to make it easier for you to wear your hottest shoes without a struggle. Learn how to stretch your favorite pair is these simple method below
VISIT A COBBLER
I understand some pairs can be too tempting to resist and some of you might want to save yourself the stress of DIY methods as recommended as it may seem, that's where a cobbler comes in.A cobbler can alter the fit with a stretching machine, either by length or width.
WEAR SOME SOCKS
Sometimes all you need is a pair of socks to stretch certain shoes into shape. I'd recommend something thick, then walk around in the pair for a while and see the difference it makes
SPRAY IT OUT
Some sprays are designed specifically to relax leather and make it more malleable. All you have to do is to insert a shoe stretcher in the shoe after spraying, then twist the mechanical rod. This help to increase the shoe's length and width
FREEZE THEM
Yes, this works just fine, all you have to do is stuff the shoe with tightly sealed bags of water, make sure it's sealed very tight. Next place the shoe inside a freezer until the water bags are completely frozen. After some time, remove the ice bag and shoe should more room for you now
HEAT THEM
This is like the reversal of the freezing method as it doesn't involve ice and it's actually more user-friendly. First, slip into a pair of thick socks then wear your shoes. Aim a hair dryer at the tightest spots and blast high heat at them while you wiggle your foot slightly. This will slowly loosen the shoes fabric making the shoe more comfortable for you
